A partnership with the Department of Children and Family Services to update the visitation rooms, at the newly renovated Vermilion Parish facility. Our Chapter assisted with the decorating of both the children's & infant rooms to make them more inviting and educational. These rooms are available for parents to visit with their children in a controlled environment, where they are observed and supervised by the staff.
During the Department of Child and Family Service's Open House, our Chapter was recognized with a Certificate of Appreciation for our hard work and continued service to the families of our Parish and partnership with DCFS.
Members pose with Certificate of Appreciation for the recognition of work performed on the visitation rooms at the DCFS Vermilion Parish Facility during Open House.
This room, for older children, was revitalized with a newly painted kitchen set, educational books, artwork donated by family members of our Chapter as well as a 32" TV, which will provide viewing of educational DVDs. Thank you Active Member, Natalie Tate for sewing the furniture pillows...they are the perfect touch to the rooms completion.
The Infant Room of the facility is still in progress, so please stay tuned for additional details and the final look!
